Tuesday in Taiwan

We met Rosa this morning at 10:00. She took us on a gondola ride up a mountain. We visited some tea plantations and tea houses. The picture you probably have in your mind of a tea plantation is not quite accurate. Each farmer had very small patches of land. The gondola ride was really something and we enjoyed it very much. I posted a couple of pictures of the gondolas.
On the way down we stopped at a Taoist temple. It was built into the side of the mountain. It was very interesting but also sad. Rosa told us that when people come to worship they have to start by telling the deity their name and where they live. I'm so thankful we serve a God who already knows that!
We next went to a great place which was an indoor amusement park for kids. Makenna had a great time going on all the rides. There are a couple of pics of her on some of the rides. We are hoping to go back there before we leave with Pei Fang.
When we got back today we asked if we could have some extra bedding to cushion the hard beds. They sent housekeeping up with some mattress pads. Apparently, this is not the first time they have had this request. I'm looking forward to waking up tomorrow without a backache.
Well, tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for. At 7:30 in the morning we will board the high speed train to travel to Kaohsiung where we will get to see Pei Fang! It will probably be a hard day for her because they are having a farewell party for her. We will meet her foster family and her birth mother. Also, we will be interviewed for a tv show. Needless to say, there are lots of matters for prayer.
We were thankful to be able to talk to Kyle and Logan again today. It's hard to believe that Kyle is on a train on his way to Michigan. And we know Logan is in good hands. Thank you Bill and Miss Yo! We didn't touch base with Jeremy because it was his first day at his new job.
We are also thankful that the Lord is with us and very soon we will become a family of 7!
